current events

as follows:

I've been getting along with people I didn't expect to, for long(er) periods of time than expected.

Back to bantering old friends about nonsense while sitting in a minivan. Many issues get discussed in short amount of time and challenges me to think harder about it. Can’t say that’s a good thing. I end up talking myself into corners on events like this. (thanks Lucas).

Been hearing from several versions of The Past, things like, "Would you like to socialize once again?"

Headache from the depths of my brian. Feels like it may explode at any moment.

But I am still not a Twitter'er (?). And I’m happy for that.

Don’t get too excited about this, but Jaxson has lost his 3rd tooth. He’s a little behind the curve, but the dentist has that’s a good thing…..

Song of my Friday: Frighten Rabbit-Good Arms vs. Bad Arms. It's not poppy or happy like you'd hope for on a Friday, but this is my blog and who cares. I should expect, accept.
Happy Friday my blog readers.

CopyCAM

SO I work as an interior designer to a commercial firm who is a furniture vendor and our main furniture line is Steelcase, which is like the Cadillac of Commercial furniture. Anyway....there is a product called the CopyCAM that we have on our showroom floor to be able to use for meetings and product knowledge. It's basically a devise used above whiteboards that can capture notes taken during a meeting to be email, printed or saved to anyone in the meeting. No more taking notes!!! Steelcase is the leader in making your office space a place that you love because of efficiency and comfort. In an effort to keep things not too serious....I copyCAM'ed myself today. Here is the result.

2 things: OMG, I have a gaping bald spot and I wasn't even wearing a pink & blue shirt today. But this is funny none the less. Everyone in my office got a copy and they were asked one question, "Wanna Try??" hahahhaahahhaahhaahahaha. Happy work day to you!!!

Song of the day: My friends from SanDiego. And they are my favorite characters.

anyway, i'm doing fine

after moving for 28 years I'm getting closer to the life I've always wanted. Or at least in a sense of a life I can really see myself living and loving most days. But if we didn't have these fog on fog type of days, how would we ever know when the good comes that it is actually good?? Friday is good. Work is good. My son is healthy and good. I have a good sister. And I have a good car. I'm about to have a good child support income. And I'm good with faith. I'm improving on the good cook thing. did you know the iphone has a great app for 20 minute meals?? My friend Dan turned me on to it and I'm diggin' it. It's Jamie Oliver's 20 minute meal....Come on Iphone app getters. GO GET IT!!!

Now that we're good on the good things. Let's enjoy my song of the day:

"Life can be so fair. Let it go on and on. I can push for good. You got that cherry bomb. Blow out that cherry bomb for me. We lost it long ago, You and me" Lyric of my days lately....

"That's a frosty why to speak"

"To tell me how to live next to your potpourri. All this talking pulls my teeth."---Passion Pit To Kingdom Come just happens to be my most favorite right now. Ya Dig??

The Mirror

Sneak peak into one of my projects at my new place. So a bottle of spray paint later and my mirror looks like a new person. PLUS...I finally was able to put my Sara Session to good use. (note: the chip in the little mirror, I could try and patch that up but I'm going to leave it. It's proof of why moving in 18 hundred inches of snow is a terrbile idea)

WARNING! Megapost ahead....

Sorry for the absence. I've just been uninspired, no time or energy for blogging. BUT Here are some snaps from my very busy weekend.

When browsing through my latest Lucky mag I can't help but see this dress/hair and beg for spring. I have high hopes that my hair will be this length and I can hunt down a dress simliar to what this skinny young lady has on.

My sweet little niece and her sisters visited Jax & I Sunday afternoon and by dinner time she was face first in the leather sofa. You should have SEEN the drool....HIlarious! I guess my house is mega FUN and wipes her out.....
Mr. Chauncey visited me Saturday morning and he is just the sweetest thing on earth right now. Like seriously inspires me to be a better person so that when he grows up he will love me the MOST!!! :)

And Jax attended his first BLuejays game. Equipped with his DS he was more than content. watchin', playin' and now it is all about the Bluejays in our house. Move out da way Huskers...

And on top of all of this I was able to get ALL of my laundry done. I hope everyone had a Great weekend and Happy Monday.....

AN ACCURATE 2010 HOROSCOPE

I recieved this in one of those silly fw: emails that I usually delete, but I read this one and I laughed out loud. Seriously, I have been known to make people cry. But come one: the Promiscuous One, REALLY?? No wonder my friends call me Scandals McCandless........I wonder who writes this crap?

SAGITTARIUS - The Promiscuous One. Spontaneous. High appeal. Rare to find. Great when found.. Loves being in long relationships. So much love to give. A loner most of the time. Loses patience easily and will not take crap. If in a bad mood stay FAR away. Gets offended easily and remembers the offense forever. Loves deeply but at times will not show it, feels it is a sign of weakness. Has many fears but will not show it. VERY private person. Defends loved ones with all their abilities. Can be childish often. Not one to mess with. Very pretty. Very romantic. Nice to everyone they meet. Their Love is one of a kind. Silly, fun and sweet. Have own unique appeal. Most caring person you will ever meet! Amazing in bed!!! Not the kind of person you want to mess with- you might end up crying.

Indications of being an adult

#1. All the dry clean clothes in your closet

#2. Being excited for a weekend to catch up on a laudry hamper that looks like this:

#3 Being disappointed when the Mexican food you ordered that you were looking forward to all day turned out to dreadfully awful and it's time to keep looking for that perfect Mexican restaurant to carry out from.

#4 Loving Fridays more than anything that holds any value in your life. I'd give up my bed if I could have Friday everyday.

#5 Being excited to be invited over to anyones house to watch the Ellen talk show in the middle of the afternoon.

#6 Thinking that your child's mind is completley made of cherries and loving them more than any pair of shoes you have ever owned. Below is a drawing that a friend of a friend did of Jaxson and I WILL buy this from her becasue I am in love with it and with him.....

Experiment

I've spent most of my morning thinking about my mood ring, a supercool, straight from the 80's ring that was given to me by a friend at work. It was her Grandma's and when she pasted Lorrie thought of me when she saw it in the rubble of things to go through when someone passes. SO today I'm doing a test. Do these things work?? I waited all moring to have my coffee so that I could document any color change from BC coffee and AD coffee. I mean, caffinee in coffee is a mood stimulating compound right? so here are the results:
BC Coffee:

Blue (Royal Blue to Sky Blue-Sapphire-Happy, At Ease, Calm, Relaxed, Approachable, Optimistic, Lively, Joyful, Coasting, Peaceful, Contented, Pleasent, Near Bliss, Moonstruck, Giving, Warm, Lovable)
AD Coffee:

Green (Jade Green To Light Green)~Emerald- Average Reading; Normal, Neutral, No Great Stress, Good, Calm, Easily Amused, Alert, Involved, Sensitive, Tender, Ambivalent, Inner Disquiet, Envy, Jealousy

I'd say this is partially accurate. I woke up feeling ok, calm, at ease. And now that I have had my coffee I feel good, easily amused by this little experiment, and no great stress. BUT most importantly I'm ALERT.....Hope everyone enjoys their Wednesday.

Some People have Real Problems

Here is a nice little French singer Soko and with this song she sells out concerts and I can't help but giggle as I listen.....

SOKO - I'll kill her

Sting has a daughter

and she collaborates with robyn. Not sure how I feel about this song but I wanted to share this for 2 reasons: 1. robyn's haircut 2. I should have been born to a famous person so that even if I wrote music good or bad I'd automatically have the $ and paparazzi at my door step to make it work. ENJOY!

What I meant to post on NYE...a song & some words

Here’s for my 2010: It is up to me to reuse the old, alter it and start it all fresh. (Please insert the song so fresh and so clean here)The whole counting of years really can’t exist in my reality, at least not in the sense of the wild parties I didn’t attend on New Years Eve. However I am amused by all of the New Year’s resolutions that float around this time of year. “I’m going to do it, no really I am!” Change is a word. It holds different meanings to all of us and to me the only change that I’m making is an outfit change or a music selection change. We should all be observers and understand that our thoughts don’t necessarily create our reality. In a sense of “I wish I were…..or I should have done…..” So no changing in my life, no new year’s resolution to achieve but more a change of mind---Leave the past in the past, besides the past is only a compound logged in the brain, so it really doesn’t exist.

borrowing, begging and down right adoring

this website....STOCKHOLMSTREETSTYLE
Not only for the outfits but for names of my future children. Edita is now at the top of the list of my pre-existing running tab for girl names. It joins: Veda, West, and Greta.
I hope you love this website like I do. Pass it to a neighbor....

Fake Plastic Trees and Something Less Fake

HI. I've got a lot of things on my mind right now. And only good things. Like esty, my new duplex and all the spray painting that needs to happen along with that, new t-shirts, and the most utterly flattering thing that has ever happened to me. My friend's daughter (who attends a foreign language school) had to write out things or people that she is thankful for and I was at the TOP of her list. Below is the lovely artwork. Gosh.....nuttin fake about a 7 year old being thankful for me.....GREATNESS!!!

TomorrowToday

I can't help but post today. IF I would have been a mom on top of things this is what the invatations to my son's 7th birthday party would have looked like...... But with the weather, moving and straight up chaos his birthday was spent with his grand parents, aunt, uncle, cousins and me at Coco Keys (not a bad trade) The celebration was successful, I mean what kid wouldn't love an indoor water park in the dead of winter. However, his true birthday is tomorrow and I just can't wait to see what comes from his 7's!!
